I think it's cool that even within the fringe world of b – z grade horror movie fandom, there is room for wide divides in opinions regarding specific films. It goes to show that the fandom is a vibrant tapestry of people who can genuinely enjoy many movies that can be objectively terrible by a film making perspective. It isn't a hipster crowd that just claim to be fans of anything that fits the bill like how the mass marketing of "nerd culture" has created zombified reference clappers.
Oh b movie fans and nerd culture convention fans can be very very very much a like in soooo many ways. Those that say “i watch sharknado and the Room cause its the same and not mainstream” but hey to each their own. B movie freaks are just still a little smaller a group so we can make our own small groups of friends that we like.. buuut don’t kid yourself geek culture and b movie culture are pretty much the same people. So depending one what crowds you are around we can all be equally fake and or just irritating. Just when you hang with fun ones of either group you got something special
